
Amritsar, 19 May 2025: Improvement Trust Amritsar Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu said that under the anti-drug campaign of Punjab Government “Yuddh Nashiyan De Viruddh”, programs were organized today in Ward No. 3, 4 and 5 of Amritsar North Assembly Constituency to create awareness against drug abuse. In these programs, Karamjit Singh Rintu administered anti-drug oath and after that an awareness march was taken out with prominent residents. Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu said that under the anti-drug campaign “Yuddh Nashiyan De Viruddh”, the Punjab Government worked at the ground level. Arrangements were made from start to finish for de-addiction. He said that in this journey, the government’s goal is to take steps towards making every village and ward drug free. He said that helpline numbers 98236-00007, 9779100200 have been started on which anyone can give information related to drug smuggling. Their name will be kept confidential. On this occasion Senior Deputy Mayor Priyanka Sharma, Ward No. 3 Incharge Rahul Kumar, Ward No. 4 Incharge Councilor Mandeep Ahuja, Ward No. 5 Incharge Priyanka Agarwal, Balwinder Singh Kala, Ritesh Sharma, Ravindra Bhatti, Sahil Sagar, Dr. Sanjeev Arora, Rishi Agarwal, Pankaj Kumar, Kapil Arora, SHO Robin Hans, SHO Gurpreet Singh and people from the area of all three wards participated.
